The message is clear. Getting
to know your fellow club members is very important. It is easier to
give a referral to a friend rather than to someone you know only passively.
This is a great opportunity to dramatically extend your core group
of business friends. Everyone in the club has the same objectives
and will face the same anxieties meeting new people and building solid
friendships.
What to do? Just about
everyone we know eats lunch. We recommend that you take the initiative
and call one of your club members every week and set up a lunch date.
Don't worry about getting a rejection. It just won't happen because
your club partners want the same thing you want . . . referrals, and
they know the importance of relationships just as you do.
Being a member of a
My Referral Club is an enormous opportunity to increase your
income. Having 20, 30 or 40 or more business friends with their antennas
up thinking referrals should be a very exciting thought. So get to
know your fellow club members.
Here are a few other "to
do's" to make your membership more valuable:
- Set up a face-to-face
meeting with one of your club members at either of your places of
business. This is an easy way to learn more about their business.
Then go to lunch.
- Learn about your partners
by reviewing their business Home Page.
- Never miss your club's
business meetings.
- Know exactly what constitutes
a good referral for all of your club members.
- Make sure that you
have a well thought out "Unique Sales Slogan".
- Respond when you get
a referral. Acknowledge the gift of the referral you just received
by sending a thank you card, a small gift, or do something nice.
