My Referral Club is the result of three years of collaboration between Don Cramer and Cliff Durfee. They determined the time was perfect for a referral club which is supported by high tech online capabilities. The marriage of the best parts of a personal club with meetings and the power of the internet to facilitate every aspect of various interactions seem to offer benefits to everyone. Cramer & Durfee knew that a well-organized web site with powerful data base capabilities would make a perfect platform for an online referral club.

Several years ago Don Cramer was introduced to the concept of referral or tip clubs. He joined with three other people who had decided to start their own club and began recruiting new members. The club grew to 15 people, and then lost momentum. With time and effort it grew back to 13 members, and lost momentum again. It dwindled to 6 people and was disbanded.

Don saw that it was/is very difficult to build one of these organizations using the old paradigm of breakfast meetings. Most people would love to be part of a referral organization, if only they didn't have to work so hard to build a large group.

A My Referral Club local club can grow quickly and easily because of new Internet technology.

Don Cramer:

• Is a successful mortgage broker in San Diego
• Owned two successful construction companies
• Was involved with starting a nationwide Financial Credit organization
• Was a top salesman for the Eastman Kodak Company
• Got out of the Army as a 1st Lieutenant
• Graduated years ago with a BA in English
• Has never made a hole-in-one, but expects to!

A senior designer with over sixteen years experience in most all aspects of marketing, web design, print media, product design & development, and high tech software solutions. When presented with the idea for a referral club using the power of the internet, he agreed to organize, design and implement the My Referral Club web site.

Cliff Durfee:

• Owns Design Affect, an Internet web site design and implementation company
• Was a senior programmer with over 13 years of software design experience
• Authored two books
• Owned a successful company in which one of his products sold nationwide for many years
• Graduated from Arizona State with a BA in Education (math/physics)
• Can play multiple games of chess at the same time
